Financial Analyst II, Business Enablement
The University of Florida is seeking a strategic financial analyst to support financial services across the institution. This role plays a key part in streamlining processes, optimizing costs, and supporting strategic growth through financial analyses and budgeting.

Responsibilities
Conduct balance sheet reviews, financial statement reviews, cash flow forecasting, and ad hoc financial analyses to support institutional decision-making
Monitor financial trends and patterns to identify risks and opportunities
Develop actionable insights to support operational and financial goals
Support performance monitoring aligned with strategic plan goals and key performance indicators
Coordinate financial reporting and budget functions, including cost and cash flow analyses
Develop and manage annual budgets and operational forecasts
Assists in preparing schedules, templates, and reports for management decision-making
Contribute to developing cases for automation and artificial intelligence
Supports documentation and training of peers for automating business processes
Provide data driven insights that support decision making concerning technology’s operation designs
Develop efficient and scalable workflows across financial services
Contribute to the development of university-wide policies and procedures
Build and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration across financial and operational functions
Contributes to monitoring and reporting on KPIs to evaluate the implementation of financial policies

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience
Conduct balance sheet reviews, financial statement reviews, cash flow forecasting, and ad hoc financial analyses to support institutional decision-making
Monitor financial trends and patterns to identify risks and opportunities

This position is an on-site appointment, requiring in-person work five days a week during normal business hours
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field accompanied by 2 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
Demonstrated experience with financial data, reporting and supporting strategic decision-making
Familiarity with higher education financial systems, policies, and regulatory requirements
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement
Ability to communicate effectively in both speech and writing
