Litigation Paralegal

LHH is seeking an experienced paralegal for a dynamic role in litigation support. The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys throughout all stages of the litigation process, including case reviews, drafting legal documents, and managing discovery.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial case reviews and assist with case evaluations
Draft pleadings, case chronologies, and other legal documents
Manage written and documentary discovery, including drafting requests and responses, coordinating document production, and reviewing sufficiency of responses
Organize and schedule depositions, prepare outlines, select exhibits, and summarize transcripts
Prepare subpoenas and coordinate court reporting and video services
Assist in creating and managing litigation support databases for document imaging and deposition summaries
Support factual investigations, including witness interviews and public records searches
Coordinate trial preparation, including compiling trial binders, exhibits, and assisting with jury selection
Perform legal and medical research, cite-checking, and shepardizing
Maintain organized case files and assist with post-trial and appeal processes

Required

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a paralegal in litigation
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation support software

Preferred

Certification: Paralegal Certificate preferred
