Responsibilities
This Director is responsible for a team of 8-9 Territory Managers (field-based senior production underwriters) and the respective book of business within our Commercial Middle Market Custom Solutions organization
As a critical role in driving our middle market growth, this leader must be action-oriented, able to work at a high pace for an extended period, and focused on continuing to drive the business forward
We'll count on you to build and maintain business relationships with agencies and/or brokers for sales growth and distribution expansion
You'll primarily focus on portfolio analysis, relationship management, and account management for a territory
Qualification
Required
Prior technical underwriting experience (with authority)
Existing broker/agency relationships
Ability to work at a high pace for an extended period
Action-oriented mindset
Experience managing a team of Territory Managers and Underwriters
Ability to build and maintain business relationships with agencies and/or brokers
Focus on portfolio analysis, relationship management, and account management
Preferred
Prior experience as a people leader
