Responsibilities
Lead business requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and prioritization for medium to large IT initiatives
Partner with business stakeholders and project teams to define scope, success metrics, and delivery outcomes
Conduct workshops, interviews, surveys, site visits, and workflow analysis to gather requirements
Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for development teams
Develop process models, workflows, diagrams, and documentation using standard templates
Ensure requirements are complete, feasible, consistent, and aligned with organizational standards
Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including change control and traceability
Communicate requirement updates and impacts to project managers, sponsors, and stakeholders
Participate in solution evaluation, selection, and quality assurance of purchased applications
Support testing activities, including test strategy input and test script creation
Collaborate across Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project environments
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or equivalent role
Strong experience in Asset Work Management within utility environments
Hands-on experience with SAP Work and Asset Management
Electric Distribution
Transmission
Substation
Experience working with utilities similar
Solid understanding of utility work management processes, from customer request through electric grid interconnection
Experience working with enterprise systems such as: SAP, Customer Web Portals, CC&B, GIS, Documentum
Proficiency with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Working knowledge of SQL
Proficiency with MS Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred
Experience supporting the Electric Generation Interconnection (EGI) Program
Power Generation asset experience (Hydro, Electric, or similar)
SAP Field Service Management (FSM) module experience
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
Proven ability to lead large-scale technology or business process transformation initiatives end-to-end
