Denver Water is seeking an Environmental Compliance Intern to join their Administrative Services Division. The intern will assist with waste recycling, data entry, environmental assessments, and educational outreach related to stormwater protection and hazardous waste management.

Responsibilities

Assist with waste recycling and shop care, data entry and reporting resulting from inspections and audits conducted across Denver Water facilities
Attend asbestos and lead-based paint sampling field studies as an assistant
Provide filing assistance for hazardous waste manifest storage
Assist with educational outreach and development of messages for Denver Water regarding stormwater protection, hazardous waste management, asbestos sampling and reporting, erosion prevention, etc
Assist with drafting environmental assessment reports
Assist with Environmental Management System documentation

Ability/desire to work independently as well as in groups
