IRB Analyst
Indiana University is responsible for ensuring ethical compliance in human subject research through its Human Research Protection Program. The IRB Analyst will conduct pre-reviews of research submissions, provide risk management for IRB submissions, and maintain knowledge of relevant regulations while collaborating with IRB staff.

Responsibilities
Conducts pre-review of submissions to the designated IRB of new protocols, continuing reviews, and modifications to approved studies
Provides risk management for IRB submissions. Review of correspondence and conducting quality improvement initiatives
Collaborates with other IRB officers of administration and staff to ensure uniformity of review and compliance with IRB standard operating procedures and applicable federal and state regulations
Serves on relevant IRB administrative committees, such as the Policy Committee, or the Education and Training Committee
Maintains up to date knowledge of state and federal regulations and policies, guidelines and ethical codes related to the protection of human subjects in research
May Supervise lower IRB Analysts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a science or health related field
5 years of experience preferably in IRB administration
Certified IRB Professional (CIP), Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), or any other relevant clinical research professional certification Upon Date of Hire
Proficient communication skills
Maintains a high degree of professionalism

Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
Highly thorough and dependable
