Responsibilities
Work under close supervision assisting the Senior Staff with redlines, revisions, & As-Built documentation
Prepare & revise residential construction drawings including floor plans, elevations, roof plans
Prepare job specific plans with structural options and client enhancements
Assist with design development & drawing coordination
Draft updates and edits to plans to reflect job-specific structural options selected, any non-standard selections
Complete redline corrections within a standard timeframe
Assist in the review and verification of truss drawings, header schedules, basement wall drawings, etc. for accuracy, and process changes as necessary
Upload final construction drawings to accessible locations as directed
Maintain organized digital emails, project files, & drawing sets
Duties will increase in complexity as experience grows
Additional tasks and responsibilities as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Architecture preferred)
0-2+ years of residential CAD drafting experience
An ideal team player mindset, including people skills, humility, positivity, and drive
Basic understanding of residential construction methods & materials along with Build Codes
Strong & effective communication, organizational skills and attention to detail while being a fast learner
Ability to work on multiple projects for all design phases and aptitude to manage multiple projects effectively
Good judgement in decisions regarding process and problem solving
Must possess functional computer skills including use of mainstream business software including, but not limited to: Microsoft 365 Suite, Hyphen Solutions (& Adobe preferred)
Preferred
Diploma, Associates, or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or other related design field is preferred (or equivalent experience)
