Qualification
Required
Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers
Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle
The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing
Provide specific examples of your ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels of management and staff within a public sector environment
Provide examples of your knowledge and experience in balancing multiple priorities and planning/managing resources
Provide examples of your understanding of the project development process and the applications of Caltrans design manuals
Provide specific examples of your ability to initiate and maintain positive and effective working relationships with internal and external partners and customers
Describe your understanding of the Caltrans District 7 design delegation process and provide examples of your experience managing design flexibility while adhering to established policies and standards
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment

Unofficial, original, or official sealed transcripts will be accepted and may be required upon appointment
Applicants with foreign transcripts/degrees must provide a transcript/degree U.S. equivalency report evaluation that indicates the number of units and degree to which the foreign coursework is equivalent
