Web and Digital Strategy Specialist

The Web and Digital Strategy Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing digital content strategies that enhance online user experience and engage with the community through various digital channels.
Education
Responsibilities
Creates and follows an editorial calendar
Generates content for campaign messaging, collateral, calls to action (CTA), landing pages, website content, emails, marketing content, newsletters, social media, etc
Generates, edits, publishes, and shares content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that encourages community engagement with the department and/or college
Coordinates and executes photography and videography assignments while working collaboratively with departments and team members
Optimizes pages within each platform to increase visibility of department and/or college's social content
Monitors conversations and respond to user generated comments and questions posted on accounts
Develops email marketing campaigns using Constant Contact or similar software
Identifies and implements innovative Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies utilizing analytic tools and resources, provide insights and make recommendations for updates and optimization and write content to meet SEO, web goals, and objectives
Writes dynamic, high-impact copy that delivers marketing outcomes
Monitors industry trends, technologies, and standards and research, recommend, and apply new technologies and analytics as necessary
Plans and manages project communications, continuously monitoring project status, proactively managing changes, and communicating on a regular basis
Ensures evaluation and analysis of marketing content initiatives to determine effectiveness of implemented strategies and recommend adjustments needed
Utilizes analytic tools and resources to analyze digital marketing performance, report Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and provide insights and recommendations for content performance improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
Two (2) years of relevant experience
Able and willing to work at a fast pace
Able to quickly master new technologies
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals
Familiarity with digital marketing campaign tactics
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Excellent content creation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
Preferred
Experience in video storytelling from concept and shooting to editing
Experience in marketing, communications or public relations in a university or school setting
Digital marketing content experience
Experience with Google Analytics Intermediate and SEO BrightEdge
Experience with HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
