Responsibilities
Work directly at customer sites, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality-related issues
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic automotive interior industry
Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes, including maintaining PFMEA and control plans
Prepare instructions to ensure all materials, product parts, and components meet industry standards
Ensure that product specifications related to fit, finish, durability, and appearance are met
Monitor the timeliness and accuracy of quality data input into the system and report on key product and process characteristics
Provide timely coaching and feedback to the manufacturing team, including maintaining failure catalogs and site failure samples
Address product problems directly with customers at their sites and relay feedback to the manufacturing team
Oversee the execution of corrective actions, including daily quality quick response issue management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in a mechanical engineering-related field
Must be authorized to work in the US
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing
Rich experience in automotive manufacturing processes including injection molding, assembly, coating, wrapping, painting, and quality control etc
Comprehensive knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA
Extensive experience with 8D problem-solving, problem analysis, logical thinking, and strong communication skills
Proficiency in office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality issues and precise solutions
Strong problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis and solution implementation
A team player with a collaborative mindset
Preferred
Knowledge of the automotive interior industry is preferred
Spanish or Chinese are preferred
