Product Development Engineer – Chassis/Suspension
TekWissen is a global workforce management provider headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and they are seeking a Product Development Engineer specializing in chassis and suspension for Truck and SUV models. The role involves developing chassis components, managing technical documentation, and leading communication among design, supplier, and project management teams.
Responsibilities
Create and manage 3D data, technical documentation, drawings, and parts lists based on vehicle change points or external group requests
Perform regulation and certification confirmation activities
Lead communication between design, supplier, and project management teams as needed
Monitor North America field issues and warranty condition for chassis components, including completing root cause investigations as needed
Support benchmarking and study of cost reduction proposals with suppliers and make proposals for implementation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
5 years or more as a Mechanical engineer or equivalent
Experience in CATIA
Must be able to work up to 20% OT at various times
Must be able to work M-Thur in the office
Preferred
Experience in Chassis design and development
