Monitoring Technology Advancement Supervisor
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is a respected environmental organization committed to improving air quality. They are seeking a Monitoring Technology Advancement Supervisor to lead a team focused on advancing air monitoring technologies and ensuring high-quality air quality data to support regulatory programs and public health initiatives.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team working on community air monitoring, data systems and analysis, and technology evaluation
Oversee the design and implementation of Community Air Monitoring Plans (CAMPs), data management infrastructure, and stakeholder engagement
Review and approve technical work products including QA/QC plans, SOPs, reports, and procurement documents
Coordinate with internal CARB divisions, local air districts, community-based organizations, and industry stakeholders
Ensure timely and accurate interpretation and communication of monitoring results to support agency goals and policy decisions
Manage section administration including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and compliance with state administrative requirements
Qualification
Required
A strong technical background in air quality monitoring, environmental science, or a related field
Proven leadership and project management experience
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders
Experience with data management, data analysis, QA/QC protocols, and field deployment strategies
A passion for public service and environmental protection
Medical Clearance prior to being hired
