This role is responsible for developing labor relations strategy, ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws, and serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and management in unionized environments.

Responsibilities
Lead the organization’s overall labor relations strategy
Interpret, administer, and ensure compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs)
Advise executive leadership and management on labor relations policies, union matters, and regulatory compliance
Serve as the primary point of contact with union representatives
Manage grievances, arbitrations, and dispute resolution processes
Lead and support collective bargaining negotiations and contract renewals
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
Oversee labor relations staff and manage relationships with external legal counsel
Train managers on labor relations best practices and risk mitigation
Identify labor relations risks and develop proactive strategies to address them
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience in unionized environments
Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws, including NLRA, NLRB, EEOC, and FLSA
Proven expertise in collective bargaining, grievance handling, and arbitration
Experience interpreting and applying CBAs and labor policies
Executive-level communication and influence
Ability to advise senior leadership in high-impact and high-risk situations
Strategic mindset with strong risk management capabilities
Demonstrated experience leading teams and collaborating cross-functionally
Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to clearly present complex labor issues to diverse audiences
Strong relationship management skills with unions and internal stakeholders
