Responsibilities
Preparing and inputting tax returns, primarily for individuals, with exposure to entities including corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Assisting with income statements and balance sheets as part of tax preparation
Using TaxAct software for tax preparation
Supporting partners with tax data input and return preparation during tax season
Collaborating directly with a small in-office team
Maintaining accuracy, organization, and confidentiality across all client work
Qualification
Required
Prior experience preparing individual tax returns
Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, journal entries, financial statements)
Familiarity with TaxAct preparation software
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple returns and deadlines
Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Comfort working in a fragrance-free office environment (no smoking or perfume)
