DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS and GCP
Be comfortable with a CLI
Understand and be able to write scripts in your language of choice
Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on GitLab and GitHub
Utilize Terraform and Terragrunt to manage cloud infrastructure as code, ensuring secure and efficient deployments
Automate operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements
Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve system performance and reduce downtime
Provide technical guidance and educate team members on development and operations
Document and design various processes; update existing processes
Improve infrastructure development and application development

Required

You have a strong background in Linux/Unix administration
You have experience with AWS, GCP, and other cloud services
You have proficiency in infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform and Terragrunt
Possess an in-depth understanding of security best practices, including experience with security scanning tools and the ability to architect secure systems
You've had solid experience with GitLab and GitHub for version control and CI/CD pipelines
You possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
You demonstrate strong communication and collaboration abilities
You are legally authorized to work permanently in the US without employer sponsorship
You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred

Proficiency in advanced monitoring, logging, and observability tools and practices, including custom metric collection and alerting setup
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
