Responsibilities
Perform mechanical analysis, CAD design, and/or mechanical testing of complex materials, structural components, or functional systems for missile platforms
Use advanced structural and product design engineering tools along with CAD software (Siemens NX preferred)
Apply GD&T principles to mechanical designs
Adapt or improve heritage/legacy design features using sound engineering principles
Develop innovative approaches to engineering challenges and system design
Support engineering design, development, analysis, and testing tasks throughout the project lifecycle
Develop and manage test programs to evaluate materials, structural components, or system elements
Oversee test activity execution and test article fabrication, including documentation and reporting
Prepare and deliver written technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 2+ years of engineering experience, OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 1+ year of engineering experience
Active DoD Secret security clearance preferred but not required
Preferred
Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Hands‑on mechanical integration experience (aerospace experience strongly preferred)
Experience ranging from 3–15 years is highly desired per hiring manager
