Corporate Controller

The Borgman Company is seeking a Corporate Controller for Borco U.S.A., responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls across various operating entities. This hands-on role ensures the integrity of financial records and supports operational growth while maintaining rigorous cost control and compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for all Borco North America Exploration & Production and Borco Field Services entities
Maintain general ledger integrity and entity-level books
Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements (entity-level and consolidated)
Manage oil & gas revenue accounting (production volumes, pricing, NRI/WI, marketing statements)
Track LOE by well, lease, and field
Capitalize vs expense workovers, recompletions, and facilities
Track AFEs and perform variance analysis
Support reserve engineers with financial data inputs as needed from third-party consultants
Manage job-level costing for workover rigs, crews, fuel, repairs, and consumables
Track service revenue and margins for internal and third-party work
Ensure accurate intercompany billing between internal divisions and companies
Reconcile intercompany balances monthly
Manage intercompany loans, service agreements, and cost allocations
Oversee accounts payable, vendor approvals, and payment scheduling
Prepare weekly cash forecasts and cash position reports
Implement and enforce internal controls and approval limits
Prevent cost leakage related to vendors, fuel, repairs, and chemicals
Support bonding, insurance, and regulatory financial reporting
Coordinate with external CPAs for tax filings, reviews, and audits (Borco U.S.A. holds quarterly earnings reports, annual reports, etc.)
Maintain sales and use tax compliance (TX & NM)
Support lender diligence (RBL or private lenders) with clean financial packages
Own and optimize accounting systems (Pak Energy platforms)
Build standardized monthly reporting packages for holding company leadership
Create cost dashboards (LOE per well, cost per rig hour, workover ROI)
Improve accounting processes and financial discipline as Borco scales
