Responsibilities
Receives, screens, and directs visitors, incoming calls, mail, and email promptly, courteously, and accurately
Coordinates with faculty, staff, and students in scheduling conference rooms, semester course schedules, exams, and meetings on department calendars
Works closely with Primary Administrative Assistant to plan and coordinate department events such as the Colloquia Series, student recruitment days and department gatherings
Assists Administrative Assistant with other administrative needs and inquiries as they arise for the department
Works closely with Financial Specialist for purchasing, travel, and escalating complex financial inquiries
Provides administrative support to office personnel, exercising confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
Excellent organizational skills
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Maintains a high degree of professionalism
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information
Ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment
Ability to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation
