Responsibilities
Develop accurate forecasts and issue orders for assigned parts to meet corporate fill-rate targets and inventory (MOS) goals
Expedite supplier purchase orders to prevent shortages and dealer backorders. Review daily backorder reports, take corrective actions, and issue urgent orders (VOR/XVOR/UPER) as needed to avoid buyback risks
Coordinate and place initial orders for new model parts to ensure availability at the time of vehicle wholesale
Provide guidance and support to Parts Supply Analysts to help achieve team objectives
Perform general maintenance of part master data and purchase order information
Maintain fill rate and inventory performance for all assigned parts
Prepare routine purchase orders-including weekly air/sea shipments, urgent orders, initial/new model orders, and special requests
Monitor dealer backorders and coordinate with suppliers to maximize customer satisfaction and fill rate performance
Maintain accurate purchase order files and perform routine reconciliation with suppliers
Analyze and submit initial orders for new vehicle models, ensuring sufficient pipeline supply for the first 12-18 months of production and meeting 98% OEM support fill rate targets
Recommend updates to part master data, including supply levels, supersession codes, and control settings
Identify and propose system enhancements to improve inventory planning and customer service; participate in design, testing, and implementation
Support ad‑hoc analysis and special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
2-4 years of experience in quantitative analysis, financial/accounting concepts, and business strategy
Strong proficiency with business software applications, databases, and reporting tools
Experience in inventory planning is required
Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to deadlines
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Preferred
Automotive industry experience is preferred but not required
APICS or other supply chain-related certifications are a plus
Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, or other SQL-based tools preferred
