Responsibilities
Support secure and reliable operations of OT/ICS environments, including SCADA systems and other shipboard/shoreside operational systems
Identify, prioritize, and execute remediation activities based on risk to operational continuity, safety, and uptime
Manage OT remediation and security enhancement initiatives to reduce cyber risk to vessel and terminal operations
Collaborate with Information Security, IT, and business stakeholders to implement controls for identified system weaknesses
Recommend practical infrastructure and security improvements to strengthen OT operations and reduce exposure
Configure and support secure OT systems while adhering to change management and documentation requirements
Maintain system documentation, including configurations, architectural information, and remediation tracking
Stay informed on emerging OT/ICS threats and best practices through relevant forums and information-sharing networks
Develop and report performance metrics tied to operational risk reduction and program improvement
Qualification
Required
Experience supporting shipboard/vessel operational systems (hands-on maritime environment experience required)
5+ years supporting operational technology environments, industrial systems, or engineering-based operational environments (maritime, industrial, or critical infrastructure preferred)
Strong familiarity with ICS security concepts and securing environments where uptime and safety are critical
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams in real-world environments (not just policy/compliance)
Must be able to travel up to 50% to offices, vessels, terminals, and third-party facilities
Preferred
Experience with SCADA / ICS architectures, segmentation, and industrial communications concepts
Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and NIST 800-82 (ICS Security)
Familiarity with ISA/IEC 62443 concepts or industrial cybersecurity best practices
OT/ICS/SCADA cybersecurity certifications are a plus (example: ISA-related certifications or other OT/ICS-focused credentials)
