Responsibilities

Provide regular project status updates to the Lead Designer and communicate deviations from standards to management
Maintain knowledge of relevant engineering codes, both national and local
Participate in project meetings as required and collaborate effectively with team members on project-related tasks
Review and check designs for consistency, safety, operability, and maintenance requirements prior to submission
Develop and navigate 3D models from drawings and sketches, checking for interferences and constructability
Create detailed plan, general arrangement, and plot plan drawings, ensuring proper filing and timely completion of as-builts using RFIs, ECNs, and red-marked drawings
Support project development by completing various assigned tasks and developing guidelines, checklists, or knowledge documents as needed
Contribute to the Lessons Learned Database and resolve comments on checked drawings to ensure continuous improvement
Gather and organize information necessary for the development of accurate drawings

Required

Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Aided Design & Drafting Technology or a related field required
Proficient in computer-aided drafting programs (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, GEOPAK, Navisworks) and familiar with current computer operating systems
Effective communication skills—both verbal and written—with team members and across disciplines; must be able to use email, electronic meeting requests, spreadsheets, and databases
Ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents, and to organize information for accurate drawing development
Demonstrated commitment to completing assignments promptly and resolving comments on checked drawings, supporting continuous improvement
Professional representation of Kiewit when interacting with owners, contractors, vendors, and external contacts
Must be a US citizen with documentation for badge access
Pass a security questionnaire and background check appropriate to position duties
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
