Sales Manager

Vail Resorts is a leading company in the outdoor recreation industry, and they are seeking a Sales Manager to join their Northeast Regional Sales and Service Team. This role involves driving group business across five mountain resorts, requiring strong relationship-building skills and adaptability to enhance guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain productive business relationships with lodging partners and key bookings to increase group lines of business
Solicit, close, and contract group business using strong negotiating skills and creative selling techniques
Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future booking activities, including sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc
Exceptional communication and computer skills
Provide quick, timely responses and immediate communication to stakeholders and clients
Provide customer intelligence in evaluating market economic trends, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, supply and demand, etc., and know-how to sell against them and may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations
Assist with coordinating and representation in sales missions, trade shows, and conferences
Assist with product promotions and fulfillment
Attend internal stakeholder meetings to drive resource efficiency and report on business updates
Other duties and support of other departments may be required
Contribute to the health and strength of a dynamic team culture
Embrace and contribute to an Enterprise-wide culture of leadership

Required

Proven success in a similar role and environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
Proficient in spoken and written English: (additional language requirements may apply to specific job segments)
Candidate must be located close to Mount Snow for in-resort expectations
Flexibility to travel as needed (transportation is the employee's responsibility)
Phone required for client-facing roles – phone plan is available (candidate must either opt into company plan or assume responsibility for a business phone solution)
Company-use IT Technology Kits are provided for job requirements of corporate remote employees. Any additional items will be at employees' expense

Preferred

College education is preferred
Any combination of education and sales training may also be considered
Experience within Delphi FDC is helpful (training will be provided to the right candidate)
