Responsibilities
Own and execute client billing and invoicing in a time-based, professional services environment
Partner with internal project teams to validate billing inputs, resolve discrepancies, and support monthly billing cycles
Prepare, review, and process customer invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to contract terms
Monitor open receivables and support collection efforts related to outstanding balances
Reconcile billing, revenue, and transactional data across systems to support monthly close and reporting
Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations, flux analysis, and variance review
Maintain and support client and contract-related financial data, including updates and amendments
Assist with resolving billing and accounting discrepancies and responding to internal and external inquiries
Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for management
Identify opportunities to improve billing workflows, documentation, and accounting processes
Qualification
Required
Direct experience owning billing and invoicing processes (not oversight-only)
5+ years of experience in a hands-on accounting role within a professional services or project-based environment
Experience working with time-based or project-driven billing models
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Advanced Excel skills and comfort working across multiple financial systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through detailed, complex data
Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
