Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of recorded calls to assess accuracy, compliance, and professionalism in financial discussions
Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members to improve communication skills and adherence to regulatory standards
Analyze call data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process enhancements in client interactions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop training materials focused on technical accounting, securities law, and regulatory reporting protocols
Maintain detailed documentation of call assessments, performance metrics, and improvement plans aligned with SOX controls and LIHTC regulations
Support the implementation of quality assurance initiatives that reinforce best practices in financial report writing, interpretation, and reconciliation procedures
Stay current on industry regulations such as GAAP, SEC requirements, and governmental accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance

Required

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification required
Proven experience in financial accounting, corporate finance, or public accounting environments with familiarity in SOX compliance
Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential
Solid understanding of financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and accrual accounting
Experience with financial analysis, reporting interpretation, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and account reconciliation
Knowledge of technical accounting standards like GAAP and experience working with regulatory reporting requirements
Excellent mentoring abilities with a focus on developing team skills in financial report writing and account analysis
Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail; ability to interpret complex financial data accurately

Preferred
