The CJI Auditor/Trainer will work with the AFIS unit to identify issues with Livescan submissions and develop training for agencies to ensure compliance with SLED and FBI standards.

Responsibilities
Review errors within AFIS to identify training needs at Livescan locations
Conduct training and quality review checks at agencies and detention centers to ensure fingerprints, palm prints, mugshots, and arrest information is entered and submitted properly and in a timely manner
Stay apprised of system modifications and ensure agencies and detention centers are aware of any updates
Remain knowledgeable of SLED and FBI procedures for submissions of fingerprints, palm prints, mugshots and arrest information
Report any concerns or issues from agencies and detention centers regarding the entry and submission of fingerprints, palm prints, mugshots and arrest information to the AFIS supervisor

Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant work experience
Must have knowledge and work experience with the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS); Livescan and fingerprint collection or ability to obtain such
Must possess strong interpersonal skills to facilitate training of agencies possessing a Livescan machine
Must have the ability to train users on the proper use of the Livescan machine, including the correct procedure to collect fingerprints
Must have the ability to understand the AFIS/Livescan process in order to identify and correct errors
Ability to exercise discretion and latitude in accomplishing assigned tasks, under limited supervision
Employee will be required to travel statewide, including overnight travel
