*Staff Research Assistant - HPRC
The University of Oklahoma is seeking a Staff Research Assistant for the Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) at the OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center. This role involves participating in clinical research projects, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing reports for various health behavior change studies.

Responsibilities
Participates in clinical research projects collecting data from patients and/or participants in a study. Completes informed consent procedures with study participants
Collects various forms of data pertaining to the research project or projects, which could include database information and/or hard files. (e.g., in-person questionnaires, smartphone-based questionnaires) pertaining to smartphone and tablet-based research projects
Collects various forms of data pertaining to the research project or projects, which could include database information and/or hard files
Conducts data analyses, interprets data, draws conclusions, and discusses with principal investigator
Keeps detailed logs of all research related projects or activities
Conducts literature searches
Prepares various reports containing descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content that may be submitted for publication
Constructs tests or assists in the construction of tests
Collaborates with other researchers or colleagues
Participates in meetings and presents research findings to fellow researchers and Principal Investigator
Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Biology, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, Sociology, or a related discipline aligned with the specific area of research or project focus)
1 year of experience supporting research or working in a laboratory setting
Working knowledge of how to safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials or chemicals following Federal, State, and University regulations and guidelines
Detail oriented
Ability to analyze data and keep records
Must have reliable transportation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Familiarity/experience with Native American culture
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Human psychophysiology laboratory environment
Willing to work weekends
Must have good interpersonal skills
Basic math skills
Computer skills
Preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health or other Healthcare field
Knowledge and experience in research methods including clinical trial data college procedures and IRB Processes
Unpaid or paid experience working in a behavioral research lab
Experience working with Native American participants and/or knowledge of Native American culture
