Geopolitical Affairs - US Policy Strategist - Assistant Vice President

Deutsche Bank is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Geopolitical Affairs – US Policy to join their Global Government & Public Affairs team. The role involves monitoring US policy developments, preparing briefings for senior management, and engaging with stakeholders to assess implications for the Bank's business.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and analyzing geopolitical developments and U.S. policy issues that impact Deutsche Bank’s business and its clients, collaborating with internal subject matter experts to assess potential implications
Preparing regular and ad hoc briefings for senior management on geopolitical events and policy topics—both global and U.S.—to ensure timely awareness across the organization
Coordinating with internal experts to produce in-depth analyses, geopolitical risk assessments, heatmaps, and presentations for internal and external audiences
Supporting and conducting stakeholder engagement, including preparation and follow-up for meetings, and representing the Bank at industry events and conferences
Building and maintaining a strong network of internal and external contacts, including topic experts, industry associations, and policymakers

Required

Moderate experience in the financial sector or public affairs, with a strong preference for experience related to geopolitics
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines
Master's degree or equivalent qualification, or relevant work experience in financial services, politics, or law
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; fluent in English
Proven ability to interact confidently and effectively with senior management
Capacity to quickly digest large volumes of information and identify key insights

Preferred

Strong interest in global financial services and geopolitics, with an affinity for regulation and political developments
Additional language skills are considered an asset
