Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable and secure network solutions to meet business requirements, including LAN/WAN design, routing protocols, and VPN configurations
Lead complex network project solutions
Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators
Perform network performance monitoring and tuning to optimize resource utilization and ensure high availability
Lead troubleshooting efforts for escalated network issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies
Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network-related projects and initiatives
Mentor junior network analysts and provide guidance on best practices and technical skills development
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions for network improvement
Qualification
Required
Requires a valid North Carolina driver's license
Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Prior experience supporting large enterprise or healthcare networks
Hands on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewall systems
Hands on experience with Cisco NXOS and IOS operating systems
In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, and MPLS
In-depth knowledge of wireless networking, including RF planning and troubleshooting
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures, including multilayer switches, routing protocols, wireless networking, load balancers, and VPN technologies
Experience with network security technologies and best practices, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists
Strong understanding of network architecture principles, including high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools, such as SNMP, NetFlow, and packet analyzers
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently
Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Proven track record of successfully managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, are preferred
Experience with network scripting and automation tools such as Ansible and Python preferred
