Insider Threat Specialist
Area 52 is seeking an Insider Threat Specialist to help protect a large U.S. Government Agency. This role involves augmenting an existing insider threat program, monitoring, hunting, and investigating insider threats.

Responsibilities
Improve an existing ITP
Deploy tech tools
Monitor data feeds to ITP; evaluate intelligence for insider threats
Use automated analytics (UAM/UEBA), web logs for behavioral/technical indicators
Gather/integrate data from sources; conduct inquiries/fact-finding in intel databases
Document/classify threats; report to stakeholders (CI, legal, SOC)
Qualification
Required
Active TS/SCI
Cybersecurity experience and familiarity with security frameworks
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, or managing secure systems and applications
Experience with systems security, monitoring, or compliance
Ability to work on-site in Tysons Corner and/or Washington DC
Background check and professional references
Preferred
Previous insider threat monitoring or program support
Counterintelligence operations or analysis
Experience with U.S. government agencies
Cybersecurity operations or digital forensics
AI-assisted security tools, anomaly detection, automation
Policy development or compliance frameworks
Personnel security, behavioral assessment, or risk analysis
Software or system integration for security environments
Threat intelligence, OSINT, HUMINT, or SOC experience
NISPOM, ICD 503, ICD 701, DoD 5205.16, or similar experience
