Responsibilities
Support daily production operations for injection‑molded polymer components and automotive lighting assemblies to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements
Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating production activities based on customer demand and production schedules
Monitor workflow across molding, assembly, and material handling areas; identify bottlenecks and support corrective actions
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and promote safe work practices throughout the department
Support employee relations by assisting with coaching, training, onboarding, and developing team members to build a flexible, capable workforce
Maintain adherence to standard operating procedures, work instructions, and company policies
Track and report key performance indicators (UPH, scrap, PPM, downtime, labor utilization) and provide daily updates to upper management
Assist in troubleshooting molding and assembly issues, including equipment, material, and process‑related problems
Participate in root‑cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why and 8D, and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements aligned with modern manufacturing principles
Support documentation development and maintenance, including Work Instructions, PFMEA, Control Plans, and process standards with cross‑functional teams
Coordinate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and materials teams to ensure smooth production flow and timely issue resolution
Assist in monitoring operating costs, labor planning, and resource allocation to support budget and output targets
Maintain effective communication within the department and across cross‑functional teams in a multicultural, global supplier environment
Perform other duties as assigned to support production and organizational goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or above
Ability to interact well with other Departments
Must possess good interpersonal skills
Excellent problem solving required
Must be available for weekend work when necessary
Ability to use MS Office (Excel, Power Point)
Must maintain a positive and supportive attitude conducive to SL's work environment
Preferred
5+ years of experience in automotive production environment
5+ years in a leadership role
Prefer strong engineering knowledge
