Responsibilities
Lead the development of construction plans, right of way plans, cost estimates, bid documents, various calculations, and quantity takeoffs
Serve as Project Manager or Task Manager for multiple projects and direct technicians, engineers and project staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent experience
Minimum five years of relevant work experience
Licensure as a Professional Engineer in Virginia or the ability to obtain this licensure thru reciprocity within 3 months of hire
Proficient in production software and construction document production
A valid Virginia driver's license or the ability to obtain the license within one month of hire is required
A driver's license records check, criminal history records check, and a fingerprint check are required
Successful candidates may be required to travel and perform physical duties associated with field assignments as needed
Preferred
A working knowledge of 1+ of the following software platforms: Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HCS, SYNCHRO, Primavera P6
Experience leading small design related teams and candidates who exceed 5+ years of experience
Prior experience with responsible charge duties for design and prior BD/managerial responsibilities
