Litigation Associate

They are seeking a litigation associate who will contribute to the firm's success through excellent lawyering and will be involved in preparing pleadings and briefs, discovery, and client counseling.

Responsibilities
This job requires the lawyer to assume substantial responsibility for the preparation of pleadings and briefs in trial courts, administrative proceedings, and appellate courts that reflect the highest caliber of legal scholarship and written advocacy
The successful candidate also will be involved in all aspects of discovery, and will have opportunities for stand-up courtroom experience and direct client contact as their practice progresses
The successful candidate also will assist in researching issues and providing general counseling services to a variety of public, non-profit, and private clients

Qualification
Required
Strong academic credentials
Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
Membership in the Washington State Bar Association (or eligibility for membership)
Preferred
Law journal participation and/or judicial clerkship preferred
Three or more years of general litigation experience preferred
