Clayton is a leading single-family home builder dedicated to attainable housing and sustainable practices. They are seeking a Software Engineer intern to partner with their Retail Tech team to modernize applications used for managing Retail Home Consultant awards.

Responsibilities

Assist in modernizing or building a new application
Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to define and implement core features
Coordinate creation of new reports in partnership with DEAG as needed
Document processes and progress in JIRA
Support obsolescence of previous application if necessary

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled as a junior in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with application development concepts and lifecycle

Preferred

Exposure to reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) and data visualization
Cloud development familiarity
Ability to communicate blockers and concerns to the team and proactively solicit guidance for more complex problems
Self-motivated and eager to learn; rapidly improve and apply what you have learned
