Assistant Director - Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health
Northeastern University is seeking an Assistant Director for the Center for Cognitive & Brain Health to manage the administrative operations of the Center. This role involves overseeing budgetary planning, staff management, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
Education
Responsibilities
Facilitate budgetary planning, management, and reporting for the Center, attaining Center Revenue information
Lead and train Center Grants and Fiscal Analysts in grant portfolio management and proposal submissions
Collaborate with the Center’s Lab and Operations Manager as well as building management to liaise and coordinate needs, along with maintenance of Center physical assets
Provide leadership for and coordinate administrative operations Center wide
Liaise with the Provost Office and respective Colleges for interdisciplinary faculty member staff hiring
Manage center staff and student hires
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Business Administration or related field
Minimum 5 years related experience, preferably in a university environment
Thorough knowledge of business, financial reporting and analysis, accounting, and working with personnel
Experience preparing budgets, modeling, forecasting, and financial planning, and the ability to develop and implement such systems
Demonstrated ability to work independently, under pressure, using good judgement, and with an appropriate sense of priorities and the ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations. Ability to use tact, diplomacy, and discretion with emphasis on flexibility and professionalism
Proven ability to function effectively in an evolving and high-performance environment
Grant/Sponsored programs management experience
Preferred
Master's degree in Business Administration or related field
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the higher education community, including its policies, procedures, practices, and culture is preferred
