Responsibilities

Assess Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Government Cloud services against agency-specific compliance and security requirements

Evaluate cloud services for alignment with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and other applicable federal security mandates

Identify security gaps, risks, and control deficiencies associated with new and existing cloud service integrations

Develop and maintain Compliance Evaluation Reports, including detailed control mappings, risk assessments, and mitigation recommendations

Provide security architecture guidance for cloud service onboarding and authorization processes (ATO support)

Collaborate with cloud engineering, compliance, and governance teams to design secure, compliant cloud architectures

Advise stakeholders on risk management strategies and security best practices for government cloud environments

Support audits, security reviews, and continuous monitoring activities

Required

Deep expertise in NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, and U.S. federal security and compliance frameworks

Extensive hands-on experience in cloud security architecture, risk management frameworks, and compliance assessments

Strong understanding of security controls, authorization processes, and continuous monitoring in government cloud environments

Ability to translate complex security requirements into actionable technical and architectural guidance

Excellent documentation and communication skills, with experience producing formal compliance and risk reports

Preferred

Professional security certification such as CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent

Cloud provider–specific security certifications (Google Cloud Security Engineer, Oracle Cloud Security, or similar)

Experience supporting ATO processes and working with federal agencies or government contractors

Familiarity with security tooling for cloud governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)
