This role involves overseeing pricing operations, supplier coordination, and fuel dispatching activities while fostering vendor relationships and ensuring operational continuity.

Responsibilities
Supervise fuel dispatchers and coordinate workload distribution
Collect and evaluate branded and unbranded fuel pricing
Identify the best daily purchasing opportunities
Communicate pull points to carriers and dispatch teams
Compile and distribute unbranded customer pricing each day
Interface with fuel suppliers regarding outages, allocations, and supply updates
Partner with sales teams on delivery pricing for prospective customers
Manage contract compliance on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis
Serve as primary point of contact for carrier communication via phone, text, and email
Build and maintain strong relationships with fuel suppliers and carriers
Compare carrier delivery charges to determine optimal vendor selection
Monitor carrier shipments to ensure on‑time delivery and full order fulfillment
Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally
Coordinate handoff of responsibilities to alternate dispatchers during scheduled days off
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
Supervisory experience required
Ability to perform well under pressure and meet multiple, time‑sensitive deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office Suite required
Scheduling experience required
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
Experience in the trucking or heavy‑hauling industry preferred
