Responsibilities
Prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing NX1980 and Teamcenter
Correctly apply the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard
Support projects within Client-TD (PIP-II, EIC, Accelerator Support, LHC AUP, SRF, SC Magnets)
Work to meet project schedules and requirements
Research and analyze design solutions
Coordinate design development
Specify and select design components and materials
Deliver design tolerance and stack up calculations, layout designs, detailing, advanced level 3D models, and 2D drawings required for the project
Complete 3D models and 2D drawings in NX1980, managed in Teamcenter
Ensure work is performed in accordance with the Fermilab QAM and Client-TD and Design/Drafting Procedures
Have all work reviewed, checked, and approved by Fermilab staff responsible for the specific task

The Designer will work onsite under limited supervision to prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing NX1980 and Teamcenter
Correctly applying the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard
Support projects within Client-TD (PIP-II, EIC, Accelerator Support, LHC AUP, SRF, SC Magnets)
Work will be done using Design/Drafting procedures, working to meet project schedules and other requirements
Include working directly with the engineering staff working on the projects to research and analyze design solutions
Coordinate design development, and specify and select design components and materials
Deliverables: Design tolerance and stack up calculations, layout designs, detailing, advanced level 3D models, and 2D drawings required for the project
3D models and 2D drawings are completed in NX1980, managed in Teamcenter
Quantity will be directed by Fermilab for each task
Work shall be performed in accordance with the Fermilab QAM and Client-TD and Design/Drafting Procedures
All work will be reviewed, checked, and approved by Fermilab staff responsible for the specific task
Demonstrate acceptable proficiency in NX1980 CAD via an interview through the ZOOMmeeting portal
A minimum of a 5 years of experience as Designer
Ability to deliver a quality work product to deadline-driven projects
