Sr. Manager - Human Resources (Middleton)

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Manager - Human Resources located in Middleton, TN. This role serves as the primary HR partner to the Site Leader and is accountable for aligning workforce strategy with operational and business objectives while providing both strategic leadership and hands-on execution across labor relations, employee relations, and core HR operations.

Responsibilities

Serve as an active member of the site leadership team, partnering closely with the Site Leader and functional leaders to drive safe, stable, and effective operations through strong workforce leadership
Lead labor relations at the site with a hands-on, engaged approach, building productive relationships with union leadership, resolving issues at the lowest appropriate level, and shaping labor strategy that supports both near-term operations and long-term business goals
Maintain a visible presence on the manufacturing floor, engaging directly with leaders, supervisors, and employees to reinforce trust, accountability, and consistent leadership behaviors
Lead, coach, and develop the site HR team, setting clear expectations, modeling effective leadership, and ensuring timely, high-quality execution of employee relations and HR processes
Partner with operations and functional leaders to identify and address workforce challenges, performance issues, and organizational risks in real time through practical, business-focused solutions
Actively support continuous improvement and lean initiatives by aligning people practices, leadership behaviors, and workforce capabilities to operational excellence objectives
Translate enterprise HR strategies, policies, and programs into practical, site-level actions that align with the realities of the manufacturing environment
Lead and support change initiatives alongside site leadership, including workforce transitions, modernization efforts, and cultural evolution, through strong communication and leader enablement
Ensure consistent and compliant application of collective bargaining agreements, labor laws, and company policies through active involvement, coaching, and sound decision-making
Leverage workforce data, employee feedback, and operational insights to anticipate issues, inform leadership decisions, and improve overall site effectiveness

Required

Bachelor's degree required; Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
8–12 years of progressive HR experience, including people leadership responsibility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong labor relations expertise within unionized manufacturing environments
Strategic HR leadership with a demonstrated ability to operate at the plant level
Employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigation experience
Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement orientation
Change leadership and organizational effectiveness capability
Strong business, operational, and financial acumen
Executive-level communication, influence, and credibility
Coaching, talent development, and people leadership skills
Sound judgment, discretion, and ethical decision-making
Progressive HR leadership experience in a unionized manufacturing or industrial environment
Demonstrated experience leading labor relations activities, including collective bargaining, grievance management, and arbitration preparation
Experience serving as a trusted advisor to site or plant leadership in complex operational settings
Proven ability to lead and develop HR teams with accountability for outcomes
Experience supporting operational excellence, lean, or continuous improvement initiatives

Advanced degree (MBA, MSHR, or equivalent) preferred
Experience supporting legacy manufacturing environments undergoing modernization or transformation
Formal training or certification in labor relations, lean, or continuous improvement methodologies
