System Administrator

The System Administrator shall be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, and related hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Maintain and support the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, and related hardware and software
Perform routine system monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Collaborate with IT teams to implement upgrades, manage user accounts, and ensure system security in compliance with organizational policies
May have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in a similar or related role required
Proficient in Windows Server and/or Linux Server operating systems
Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task management
Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving server issues effectively
Meticulous attention to detail in managing server configurations and documentation
Effective oral and written communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple project activities simultaneously
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing technologies and business needs
Accepts ownership and welcomes responsibility

Preferred

Associate's degree in a field of study relevant to the current position is preferred
One or more current, industry standard certifications are preferred (CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, VMware Certified Technical Associate - Data Center Virtualization, Citrix Certified Associate (CCA), etc.)
