Responsibilities
Operate, monitors, and maintains landfill gas migration control/recovery systems
Provide long-term post closure care at closed landfill sites
Operate, monitor, and maintain other environmental pollution control systems including VES (Vapor Extraction Systems) and GWP&T (Ground Water Pump and Treat)
Perform work in a professional, productive and safe manner
Report to a senior-level supervisor, such as a Project Superintendent or a Project Manager
Qualification
Required
40 hour HAZWOPPER, 8 hour Management and Supervisor, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, Confined Space Entry, and Trench Excavation Safety training
Valid driver's license for state of Utah
Training in polyethylene pipe fusion for construction or, combustible gas sensor and/or ground flare O&M
2 to 3 years in O&M of mechanical systems or pipeline construction
Experience or demonstrated high degree of aptitude in mechanical work; analytical problem solving and data analysis; interpretation of plans, specifications, schematics, manufacturer manuals, system operation and maintenance manuals; interpretation of applicable codes and regulations
Meet physical requirements for driving (pick-up truck), walking inspection of improved and unimproved property, lifting and carrying equipment/mechanical components (up to 50 lbs. unassisted)
