They are seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to support the Operations Compliance team, focusing on developing compliance frameworks and ensuring adherence to laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities
Support the development of the Operations Compliance division by learning and applying Power’s proprietary Nitro platform to monitor, audit, and manage project compliance
Conduct audits of business processes, records, and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies, human errors, and potential compliance risks
Provide actionable feedback to leadership on process improvements and risk mitigation strategies
Assist in designing, implementing, and improving compliance monitoring tools and systems to proactively detect issues
Ensure that legal documentation and operational records are properly executed, organized, and maintained
Collaborate with in-house attorneys and compliance managers to support audits, investigations, and proactive compliance initiatives
Stay current on emerging technologies and regulatory trends to support innovative compliance practices
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
2-4 years of legal experience in compliance, technology, or corporate practice
Demonstrated knowledge of compliance fundamentals and experience working with software or hardware systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal and technical concepts to non-legal stakeholders
A self-starter with grit, determination, and an eagerness to grow as an in-house attorney
Preferred
Business-minded approach to legal strategy, balancing risk and operational goals
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent project and time management capabilities
Highly collaborative and relationship-driven; able to work with stakeholders across departments and levels
Comfortable navigating complex legal issues independently and making strategic decisions
Proactive, agile, and highly organized in fast-paced environments
