Account Manager (Industrial Automation)
Engtal is partnering with a well-established industrial automation solutions provider serving customers across manufacturing and critical infrastructure. The Account Manager will own and grow a regional territory, managing existing accounts and developing new business, while building trusted relationships with engineers and operations teams.
Responsibilities
Own and grow a regional territory, managing both existing accounts and new business development
Build trusted relationships with engineers, plant leadership, and operations teams
Identify customer challenges and position integrated automation solutions that deliver real value
Navigate complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and technical requirements
Coordinate internal technical resources and partner teams to support opportunities
Maintain a disciplined approach to territory planning, account strategy, and pipeline management
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience selling into industrial or manufacturing environments
Background in industrial automation, process control, or controls-related solutions
Comfortable discussing PLC-based systems, automation architectures, and integrated solutions
Proven ability to manage accounts, qualify opportunities, and close solution-based sales
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently within a team environment
Preferred
An engineering degree is helpful but not required - practical industry experience is equally valued
Automation or technical sales
Industrial distribution or solutions sales
OEM, systems integrator, or process automation environments
Experience working with PLC platforms, control systems, or process automation tools
