Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, including general liability, premises liability, personal injury, trucking/transportation, and related claims
Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
Conduct and defend depositions, including fact and expert witnesses
Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Evaluate claims, analyze liability and damages, and develop defense strategies
Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and courts
Provide timely reporting and case evaluations to carriers
Ensure compliance with Texas court rules, deadlines, and litigation procedures

Qualification

Juris Doctor (JD)Texas State BarInsurance defense experienceCivil litigation experienceTexas civil procedureTrucking/transportation defenseGeneral liability knowledgePersonal injury litigationLitigation skillsDetail-oriented

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
Strong knowledge of Texas civil procedure and litigation practice

Preferred

Experience in trucking/transportation defense
Backgrounds in general liability, construction, or personal injury litigation
