Land Use and Conservation Attorney
California Department of Justice is seeking a Land Use and Conservation Attorney to work on matters of critical importance to the State. The role involves litigating cases related to environmental land use and providing legal advice to various state agencies on housing laws, public access to waterways, and conservation efforts.

Litigate all phases of cases in California and federal courts
Render legal advice on an ongoing basis to all clients and to the Attorney General
Qualification
Required
Experience in laws pertaining to environmental land use and natural resource regulation (including CEQA)
Experience in real property law
Knowledge of the California Coastal Act
Understanding of the public trust doctrine
Experience with oil and gas development law
Experience in housing law
Knowledge of administrative procedure
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Experience with all phases of litigation
Ability to litigate all phases of cases in California and federal courts
Ability to render legal advice on an ongoing basis to clients and to the Attorney General
