Responsibilities

Individual ownership of New Product Design projects and Current Product Design modifications of moderate complexity, including kitchen sinks, wire form accessories, injection molded parts, and assemblies of sink components
Support of more complex projects with partner engineers
Development of product design within specifications including all meaningful details pertinent for product structural and functional requirements, installations, regulatory considerations, platforming and marketing/sales considerations worldwide
Assurance of functional acceptability through testing and analysis
Preparation of drawings, specifications, and documentation needed to define the product design and function
Utilize engineering tools to guide design and risk-mitigation activities
General awareness of Design-For-Manufacturing techniques and can apply towards sink and accessory designs
Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time within NPD timelines
Assistance in the preparation of product cost information
Dissemination of technical data to other group functions or groups as requested and needed for business decision making, including bottom basin racks, cutout templates, and accessory material usage databases
Completion of parametric CAD models to guide the design, risk assessment, and risk-mitigation of new products across the department

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Minimum of 3 years of Mechanical Engineering experience
Proficiency in 3D CAD Software (PTC Creo Preferred)
Ability to work Independently and with cross-functional teams
Self-directed with creative problem-solving ability
Ability to independently test, analyze and solve technical problems
Must exhibit excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented
International and domestic travel as needed
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred

Candidates with strong interest in CAD design and advanced prototyping are preferred
