Responsibilities
Perform month-end closing processes and prepare journal entries for inventory, cost of goods sold, and fixed assets
Reconcile accounts for inventory, cost of sales, and general ledger
Analyze variances such as purchase price and work order discrepancies
Manage inventory costing activities within the ERP system
Track capital expenses and handle fixed asset accounting and prepaid expense amortization
Prepare business property tax filings and U.S. Census survey reports
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Support SOX testing, annual audits, and respond to audit inquiries
Participate in special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
5+ years of cost accounting experience in public or private industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred
Experience with ERP systems and fixed asset software
Experience in medium to large company environments
