Division Controller
Edw. C. Levy Co. is a unique, 100-year-old family-owned company that transforms recycled products into construction materials. The Division Controller will provide financial reporting, analysis, and planning for divisional operations as well as additional corporate finance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain accurate accounting systems, records, and standards
Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures for the accounting process
Manage monthly and year-end closings for multiple companies
Manage the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for multiple companies
Work with operations to develop and evaluate budgets and business plans
Assist operations with the evaluation of large capital expenditures
Review and analyze financial results with operations including measurement to goals and objectives
Utilize EPM/Hyperion financial reporting for trend/variance analysis
Work with divisional site management/admins to ensure all revenue-generating events are billed monthly
Utilize financial data and analysis to assist operations with problem-solving and decision-making processes
Develop and maintain proper internal controls in accordance with accepted accounting standards
Perform site audits to ensure financial and operational processes are functioning as intended
Performing special projects, studies, and other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
Ability to Lift up to 20 lbs
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
3-5 years of accounting experience at Senior Accountant level or higher with previous Controllership experience preferred
Solid understanding of Accounting principles and ERP systems, Oracle experience preferred
Strong cost and general accounting skills
Critical thinking and analytical skills that reflect ability to analyze a broad range of issues and provide solutions
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to prepare compelling presentations
Ability to work in a team structure
Ability to work cross functionally and reach win-win solutions
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats including individually and in group settings
Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
Valid driver's license
Preferred
3-5 years of accounting experience at Senior Accountant level or higher with previous Controllership experience preferred
Solid understanding of Accounting principles and ERP systems, Oracle experience preferred
Business start-up experience desired but not required
