Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize advanced routing solutions using ISIS, OSPF, and BGP protocols across enterprise network infrastructure
Manage and maintain multi-vendor firewall environments including Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, and other enterprise security platforms
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues and provide rapid resolution to minimize business impact
Develop and implement network automation solutions to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability
Architect network security solutions ensuring robust security posture and compliance with industry standards
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineering team members
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and technology implementations
Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, standards, and best practices
Participate in capacity planning, performance optimization, and technology evaluation initiatives
Lead network change management processes
Provide support during on-call rotation for critical infrastructure and occasional off-hours maintenance windows
Qualification
Required
CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent expert-level certification, or demonstrable equivalent knowledge and experience at that level
7+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise networks
Extensive experience with ISIS, OSPF, and BGP routing protocols in large-scale production environments
Deep expertise with enterprise firewalls from multiple vendors including Juniper SRX, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA/Firepower
Expert knowledge of switching technologies including MP-BGP EVPN, VXLAN, VLANs, spanning tree, and link aggregation
Strong understanding of network security principles, including segmentation, ACLs, and security best practices
Proven experience with network troubleshooting methodologies and tools
Excellent documentation skills and ability to create clear technical diagrams and runbooks
Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred
Experience with Arista switching platforms and EOS operating system
Proficiency in network automation using Python, Ansible, and vendor tools
Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and implementation
Knowledge of cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architecture
Experience with large-scale data center networking and spine-leaf architecture
Background with network monitoring and analytics platforms (Zabbix, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Splunk, Logic Monitor, Kentik etc.)
Experience with network orchestration and SDN technologies
Understanding of network telemetry and streaming protocols
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
