Responsibilities
Be the main point of contact for the investment funds leadership team, becoming a trusted advisor to them on the market and curating and development BD and marketing strategies to help the partners deliver on their business plans
Work with the practice leads to create a thought client strategy for the firm, including cross selling opportunities within current clients and monitoring market trends to advise on potential new business opportunities for the firm
In tandem with the firms central functions, work to increase the firms brand presence in specific markets, through creating thought leadership pieces and other marketing collateral
Play a pivotal role in the management team of the firms BD function, fostering a collaborative relationship with senior leadership and peer groups. Helping out on firmwide projects as and when needed
Help develop and nurture junior talent within the BD team, taking an interest in their professional development and career growth within the firm
Qualification
Required
Demonstrate an understanding of the investment funds practice
Experience in business development within a legal or professional services environment
Ability to create and devise business development strategies
Experience in coaching and developing junior talent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and peer groups
Experience in creating thought leadership pieces and marketing collateral
Ability to monitor market trends and advise on potential new business opportunities
Preferred
Individuals making a lateral move from a senior manager level
Experience in a leadership role within business development
