Responsibilities
Receives instruction and training in and performs routine manual duties involved in the operation of the meter shop
Effectively assists higher rated employees in the performance of such duties
Performs other work as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to meet job knowledge and skill requirements will be determined by company interviews and tests
No prior experience is required
Ability to work safely and follow safety rules and regulations
Ability to perform physical work
Manual dexterity to work with small, intricate parts
Must have vision corrected to 20-30 and pass color vision test
Mental ability to learn and perform the operations required to clean and repair all types of single phase watt-hour meters, watt-hour demand meters, and water heater time switch assemblies
Ability to write legible and accurate records
Meet company standards in regard to physical fitness, personal conduct and appearance, attendance, work performance, safety practices, and supervision required
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess a Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator's license and be able to safely operate motor vehicles
Must demonstrate genuine interest in learning through individual and cooperative efforts the required duties of this classification
